Siempre se ha dicho que hay dos personas que asumen el poder en una producción: el productor y el director. Mientras el productor se encarga de realizar el trabajo pesado de sacar la producción avante, haciéndose cargo de la administración de los recursos y la coordinación de los distintos grupos de trabajo; el director se encarga de darle el alma, visión, y objetivo a la misma. Pero el trabajo del director no es sencillo, ya que debe contagiar a todos los diferentes integrantes de la producción de su visión, para que éstos funcionen de manera integral en busca del máximo objetivo: transmitir el mensaje que se quiere dejar en la audiencia en cada toma, escena y acto de la producción. Lograr ese cometido es un arte que se perfecciona día con día y que requiere de mucha sabiduría por parte del director, para saber lidiar con las personalidades y diferentes formas de trabajo de su equipo de producción.
